Ingredients
- Gobhi (Cauliflower): 1 small [½ kg]
- Aloo (Potatoes): 3 medium
- Zeera (Cumin seeds): 1 tsp
- Sabut laal mirchen (Whole red chillies): 6-8
- Lehsan (Garlic) paste: 1 tsp
- Adrak (Ginger) paste: 1 tsp
- Piyaz (Onion): 1 large [chopped]
- Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder): 1½ tsp
- Namak (Salt): 1¼ tsp [to taste]
- Zardy ka rung (Yellow food colour): 2-3 pinches
- Chicken powder: ½ tsp
- Tamater (Tomatoes): 2 medium
- Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice) : 2 tbs
- Sabz mirchen (Green chillies): 1-2
- Sabz dhaniya (Green coriander): 2-3 tbs
- Oil: ¾ cup
- Garm masala (Whole spices) powder: ¼ tsp
- Pani (Water): 2 tbs
Method
Step 1: Add Gobhi (Cauliflower), Namak (Salt) in oil, and fry at medium-high flame for 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 2: Add Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Adrak (Ginger) paste, mix and cook at medium to low flame for 40 seconds. Add Zeera (Cumin seeds), Sabut laal mirchen (Whole Red chillies), mix and cook for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Add Piyaz (Onion) and cook till it becomes pink. Add Namak (Salt), Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Haldi (Turmeric powder), Zardy ka rung (Yellow food colour), Chicken powder, Pani (Water), Aloo (Potatoes), mix and cook at medium to low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Add Fried Gobhi, Tamater (Tomatoes), mix, cover, and cook at low flame for 8-10 minutes or till water evaporates.
Step 5: Add Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice), Sabz mirchen (Green chillies), Sabz dhaniya (Green coriander), Garm masala (Whole spices) powder and mix well.
