Ingredients
- Maida (All Purpose Flour) – 1 cup
- Cheeni (Sugar) – ¾ cup
- Anday (Eggs) – 2
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
- Oil – ¼ cup
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Doodh (Milk) – ½ cup
- Meetha Soda (Baking Soda) – ¼ tsp
- Baking Powder – 1 tsp
- Daar Cheeni (Cinnamon) Powder – ½ tsp
- Shakkar (Jaggery) Powder – 1 to 2 tsp
- Saib (Apple) – 3 [Cut one Apple in cubes and the other two in rings]
Method
Step 1: Add Cheeni (Sugar) and Anday (Eggs) in a bowl and beat until sugar dissolves. After this, add Oil and mix for 30 seconds. Add Vanilla Essence and Doodh (Milk) into the mixture and beat for 1 minute.
Step 2: Add Maida (All Purpose Flour), Daar Cheeni (Cinnamon) Powder, Baking Powder, and Meetha Soda (Baking Soda) into the previously prepared mixture and mix properly. Remember not to overdo it as this might cause the cake not to rise, and the cake might become hard.
Step 3: Add Saib (Apple) cubes and mix lightly.
Step 4: Grease the frying pan with 1 tsp of Ghee and sprinkle Shakkar (Jaggery) Powder. Put the Apple rings in the pan (as shown in the video), pour the mixture on top, and tap the frying pan 3 times.
Step 5: Preheat the Tawa for 5 minutes. Place the frying pan on the Tawa, cover it, and cook on low flame for 20 minutes or till the sides of the cake start to become brown.
Step 6: Flip the cake and cover again. Cook it on low flame for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve while hot with your favorite ice cream 🙂
