Ingredients
- Bhindi (Okra): 1 kg
- Piyaz (Onion): 3 medium
- Sabz mirchen (Green chillies): 3
- Dahi (Yogurt): 1 cup
- Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder): 3 tsp [level]
- Namak (Salt): 2½ tsp [to taste]
- Haldi (Turmeric powder): ½ tsp
- Zeera (Cumin seeds): 1 tsp
- Oil: 1 cup
- Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice): ½ small
Method
Step 1: Fry Bhindi (Okra) at medium flame for 5-6 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 2: Add Dahi (Yogurt), Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Namak (Salt), Haldi (Turmeric powder), Zeera (Cumin seeds) in a bowl and mix well.
Step 3: Add previously prepared Dahi mixture to the oil, mix, and cook at medium flame till masala is ready.
Step 4: Add Piyaz (Onion), mix, and cook for 30-40 seconds. Add fried Bhindi (Okra) and sabz mirchen (Green chillies), mix, and cook at low flame for 4-6 minutes.
Step 5: Add Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice) and mix it well.
Delicious Bhindi is ready to serve and enjoy.
