White Chicken Karahi

Ingredients

  • Oil: almost ½ cup
  • Piyaz (Onion): 1 large
  • Khata Dahi (Sour Yogurt): 2 cups
  • Sabz mirchen (Green chillies): 4-5
  • Lehsan (Garlic) paste: 1 tsp
  • Adrak (Ginger) paste: 1 tsp
  • Chicken: 1¾ kg
  • Pissi kali mirchen (Black pepper powder): 3 tsp [level]
  • Namak (Salt): 2 tsp [level]
  • Zeera (Cumin) powder: 1 tsp
  • Dhaniya (Coriander) powder: 1 tsp
  • Cream: 2 packs
  • Qasoori methi: 1 tsp

Method

Step 1: Add Piyaz (Onion) in hot Oil, mix and cook till Piyaz (Onion) becomes soft. Add Piyaz (Onion), Sabz mirchen (Green chillies), Dahi (Yogurt) in a blender and blend to make a smooth paste.

Step 2: Add Chicken to the same oil and cook till it changes its colour. Add Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Adrak (Ginger) paste, mix, and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Step 3: Add Pissi kali mirchen (Black pepper powder), Namak (Salt), Dhaniya (Coriander) powder, Zeera (Cumin) powder and give it a good mix. Add Piyaz (Onion) paste, mix, cover, and cook at low flame for 5 minutes or till chicken becomes tender.

Step 4: Add Cream, mix, and cook for 30 seconds. Add Qasoori methi and mix.
