Makhandi Halwa

Ingredients

  • Sooji (Semolina): ½ kg
  • Doodh (Milk): ½ litre
  • Balai/Cream: 1 cup
  • Oil: 1¾ cups
  • Sabz elaichi (Green cardamom): 5-6
  • Cheeni (Sugar): ½ kg
  • Badam (Almonds): 15-20
  • Kishmish (Raisins): 2-3 tbs

Method

Step 1: Add Sooji (Semolina), Doodh (Milk), Balai/Cream in a bowl, mix and leave for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Add Sabz elaichi (Green cardamom) in hot Oil and mix for 10 seconds. Add Cheeni (Sugar), mix, and cook for 1 minute at medium-low flame or till sugar becomes lightly golden.

Step 3: Add Sooji mixture, mix and cook till sooji changes its colour to nice golden. Add Badam (Almonds), Kishmish (Raisins) and give it a good mix.

Ready to serve.
