Shinwari Karahi

Ingredients

  • Oil: ½ cup
  • Chicken: ½ kg
  • Lehsan (Garlic) paste: 1 tsp
  • Adrak (Ginger) paste: ½ tsp
  • Tamater (Tomatoes): 4 [cut each in half]
  • Pissi kali mirchen (Black pepper powder): 1 tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin) powder: ½ tsp
  • Dhaniya (Coriander) powder: 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt): ¾ tsp [to taste]
  • Sabz mirchen (Green chillies): 2-3
  • Adrak (Ginger): as required
  • Garm masala (Whole spices) powder: ¼ tsp

Method

Step 1: Add Chicken in oil, mix, and cook till it changes its colour. Add Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Adrak (Ginger) paste, mix, and cook at medium-low flame till Chicken becomes light golden.

Step 2: Add Tamater (Tomatoes), cover and cook at low flame for 5-6 minutes.

Step 3: Remove the skin and mash the tomatoes.

Step 4: Add Pissi kali mirchen (Black pepper powder), Namak (Salt), Zeera (Cumin) powder, Dhaniya (Coriander) powder and mix well.

Step 5: Add Sabz mirchen (Green chillies), Adrak (Ginger), Garm masala (Whole spices) powder and give it a good mix.
