Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients [Marination]

  • Chicken (Breast fillets) – ½ kg
  • Namak (Salt) – 1¼ tsp [to taste]
  • Kuti laal mirch (Chilli flakes) – ½ tsp
  • Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder) – 1 tsp
  • Tandoori masala – 1 tsp
  • Dhaniya (Coriander) powder – 1 tsp
  • Garm masala (Whole spices) powder – ½ tsp
  • Paprika powder – 1 tsp
  • Pissi kali mirchen (Black pepper powder) – ½ tsp
  • Lehsan (Garlic) paste – 1 tsp
  • Adrak (Ginger) paste – 1 tsp
  • Sirka (Vinegar) – 2 tbs
  • Oil – 2 tbs

Method

Step 1: Cut Breast fillets into thin slices as shown in the video. Add Fillets, Oil, Sirka (Vinegar), Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Adrak (Ginger) paste, Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Kuti laal mirchen (Chilli flakes), Kuti kali mirchen (Black pepper powder), Paprika powder, Namak (Salt), Tandoori masala, Garm masala (Whole spices) powder, Dhaniya (Coriander) powder in a bowl, mix and marinate for 2 hours.

Step 2: Grease pan with oil and grill Chicken at medium to low flame for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Step 3: Cut chicken into thin slices as shown in the video.

Ingredients [Sauce]

  • Dahi (Yogurt) – 2 tbs
  • Mayonnaise – 4 tbs
  • Till 2 tbs
  • Namak (Salt) – ¼ tsp
  • Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder) – ½ tsp
  • Lehsan (Garlic) – 3 cloves
  • Sirka (Vinegar) – 1 tbs
  • Oil – 1 tbs

Method

Step 1: Add Till (Sesame seeds), Lehsan (Garlic), Sirka (Vinegar), Oil, Namak (Salt), Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder), Dahi (Yogurt), and Mayonnaise in a blender and blend. You can add 2-3 tbs of water as well.

You can store it in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Ingredients [Salad]

  • Gajar (Carrot) – 1 large
  • Kheera (Cucumber) – 1 large
  • Shimla mirch (Capsicum) – 1 large
  • Tamater (Tomatoes) – 1 medium
  • Sabz mirchen (Green chillies) – 1-2
  • Band gobhi (Cabbage) – 1 cup
  • Namak (Salt) – ½ tsp
  • Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder) – ¾ tsp
  • Sirka (Vinegar) – 8 tbs

Method

Step 1: Add Gajar (Carrot), Shimla mirch (Capsicum), Sabz mirchen (Green chillies), Kheera (Cucumber), Band gobhi (Cabbage), Tamater (Tomatoes), Namak (Salt), Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder), Sirka (Vinegar) in a bowl, mix and leave for 1 hour [Mix in between].

Assembling

  • Oil: 2-3 tsp
  • Pita bread
  • Sauce
  • Salad
  • Cooked Chicken

Method

Step 1: Add 1 tsp of oil to the frying pan and Roast the bread.

Step 2: Spread Sauce, add Salad and Chicken and drizzle some more sauce. Wrap in butter paper and serve hot.
