Ingredients [For Marination]
- Chicken: 700 grams [approximately 3 pao]
- Pissi laal mirchen (Red chili powder): ½ tsp
- Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder): ½ tsp
- Namak (Salt): ½ tsp
- Paprika powder:½ tsp
- Zeera powder (Cumin powder): 1 tsp
- Sabz mirchen (Green chillies): 3-4
- Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice): 1 tbs
- Qasoori methi: 1 tbs
- Lehsan (Garlic) paste: 1 tsp
- Adrak (Ginger) paste: 1 tsp
- Dahi (Yogurt): 5 tbs
Method
Step 1: Add Chicken, Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Namak (Salt), Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder), Paprika powder, Sabz mirchen (Green chillies), Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Adrak (Ginger) paste, Lemun ka ras (Lemon juice), Dahi (Yogurt), Qasoori methi, Zeera (Cumin) powder in a bowl and marinate the Chicken for minimum 2 hours or overnight.

- Oil: ½ cup
- Piyaz (Onion): 2 medium
- Zeera (Cumin seeds): 1 tsp
- Sabz elaichi (Green cardamom): 3
- Bari elaichi (Black cardamom): 2
- Dar cheeni (Cinnamon stick): 1
- Tamater (Tomatoes): 2 medium [paste]
- Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder): 1 tsp
- Dhaniya (Coriander) powder: 1 tsp
- Namak (Salt): ¾ tsp [to taste]
- Pani (Water): 1½ glasses
- Cream: ½ cup
- Qasoori methi: 1 tbs
Method
Step 1: Add Oil and Piyaz (Onion) in a pan and cook at medium flame till Piyaz (Onion) becomes golden. Take out Piyaz (Onion) from the pan, let it cool, and then coarsely crush it with hands.
Step 2: In the same oil, add Zeera (Cumin seeds), Sabz elaichi (Green cardamom), Bari elaichi (Black cardamom), Dar cheeni (Cinnamon stick), and give it a good mix.
Step 3: Add Tamater (Tomatoes) paste and mix. Add Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Namak (Salt), Dhaniya (Coriander) powder, mix and cook at medium flame till the oil separates.
Step 4: Add Marinated Chicken and cook at medium flame for 5 minutes. Add fried and crushed Piyaz and mix well.
Step 5: Add Pani (Water), mix, cover, and cook at low flame till chicken is tender. Cook at medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
Step 6: Add Cream, Qasoori methi [crush with hands], and mix well.
Serve with Paratha or Boiled rice.
