Naan Khatai

Ingredients

  • Maida (All purpose flour): 2 cups
  • Baisan (Gram flour): 3 tbs
  • Khushk doodh (Dry milk): 2 tbs
  • Pissi cheeni (Powdered sugar): 1 cup
  • Ghee: 1 cup
  • Elaichi (Cardamom) powder: ⅛ tsp
  • Metha soda (Baking soda): 1 tsp
  • Anda (Egg): 1

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 150℃.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add Maida, Baisan, Khushk doodh, Pissi cheeni, Ghee, Elaichi powder, and Metha soda. Mix well until the mixture resembles crumbles.
  3. Make biscuits as shown in the video.
  4. If the biscuits are not binding properly, add 1 tablespoon of additional Ghee.
  5. Brush the biscuits with an egg.
  6. Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes.
  7. On the stove, preheat a pot for 10 minutes and bake the biscuits at low flame for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Let the biscuits cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  9. Store the biscuits in an air-tight container.
