Masala Chana Chat

Ingredients

  • Channy (Chickpeas): 1 cup [boiled]
  • Piyaz (Onion): 1 small [chopped]
  • Tamater (Tomatoes): 1 medium [discard seeds]
  • Adrak (Ginger) paste: 1 tsp
  • Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder): ¾ tsp
  • Namak (Salt): ½ tsp
  • Kala namak (Black salt): ½ tsp
  • Haldi (Turmeric powder): ¼ tsp
  • Chat masala: ½ tsp
  • Garm masala (Whole spices) powder: ⅛ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds): ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • Sabz dhaniya (Green coriander): 2 – 3 tbs
  • Oil: 2 tbs
  • Pani (Water): ½ cup

Method

Step 1: Add Zeera (Cumin seeds) in Oil and mix for 30 seconds at medium to low flame. Add Adrak (Ginger) paste and mix for 30 seconds.

Step 2: Add Pani (Water), Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Namak (Salt), Haldi (Turmeric powder), Chat masala, Garm masala (Whole spices) powder, mix and cook till oil separates.

Step 3: Add Channy (Chickpeas) and mix for 30 seconds. Add Piyaz (Onion), Tamater (Tomato), Sabz dhaniya (Green coriander), Lemon juice and mix well.
