Ingredients
Koftay
- Kaddu/Lauki (Bottle Gourd) – 1/2 kg
- Basin (Gram Flour) – 12 cup
- Pissi Laal Mirchain (Red Chilli Powder) – 1 tsp
- Namak (Salt) – 1/2 tsp
- Haldi (Turmeric Powder) – 1/4 tsp
- Piyaz (Onion) – 1/2 [Chopped]
- Sabz Mirchain (Green Chillies) – 2 [Chopped]
- Sabz Dhania (Green Coriander) – 2 tsp
Gravy
- Piyaz (Onion) – 1 medium [Chopped]
- Tamatar ( Tomatoes) – 2 medium
- Dahi (Yogurt) – almost 1/2 cup
- Lehsen (Garlic) Paste – 1 tsp
- Pissi Laal Mirchain (Red Chilli Powder) – 1 tsp
- Namak (Salt) – 1/2 tsp
- Haldi (Turmeric Powder) – 1/4 tsp
- Dhania Powder (Coriander Powder) – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder (Whole Spices Powder) – 1/4 tsp
- Sabz Mirchain (Green Chillies) – [Garnish]
- Sabz Dhania (Green Coriander) – [Garnish]
- Oil – 1/2 cup
Method
Step 1: Grate Kaddu and squeeze properly with hands or kitchen towel to remove excess water.
Step 2: Mix all ingredients of Koftay and make balls of equal size as shown in the video.
Step 3: Fry at low flame until golden brown.
Step 4: Fry Onions at medium to low flame until golden brown.
Step 5: Add Tamater, Lehsen Paste and all dry ingredients. Mix and cook until masala is ready.
Step 6: Add Dahi and cook (for 2 – 3 minutes) until gravy is ready.
Step 7: Add water according to your requirements. Cover and cook for 3 – 4 minutes at medium flame.
Step 8: Add Koftay, Sabz Mirchain, Zabz Dhania, Garam Masala and mix.
