Chicken Lasagna

Ingredients [For Chicken]

  • Chicken – ½ kg
  • Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder) –
  • Piyaz (Onion) – 1 medium [chopped]
  • Oil – ¼ cup
  • Lehsan (Garlic) paste – 1 tsp
  • Adrak (Ginger) paste – 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) – 1¼ tsp
  • Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder) – 1½ tsp
  • Paprika powder – 1tsp
  • Haldi (Turmeric powder) – ¼ tsp
  • Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder) – 1 tsp
  • Ketchup – 3 tbs
  • Chilli garlic sauce – 4 tbs
  • Pani (Water) – 1 glass
  • Shimla mirch (Capsicum) – 3
  • Gajjer (Carrot) – 2 [small]
  • Oregano – 1 tsp

Method

Step 1: Add Oil and Piyaz (Onion) in a pan and cook till Piyaz (Onion) becomes pink. Add Chicken and mix. Add Lehsan (Garlic) paste and Adrak (Ginger) paste, mix and cook at medium flame till the chicken changes its colour. Add Namak (Salt), Pissi laal mirchain(Red chilli powder), Haldi (Turmeric Powder), Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder), Paprika powder, Ketchup, Chilli garlic sauce and mix well.

Step 2: Add Pani (Water), mix, cover, and cook at low flame till chicken is tender. Add Shimla Mirch (Capsicum), Gajar (Carrot), mix, cover, and cook at medium to low flame for 3-5 minutes.

Step 3: Add Oregano, mix and cook at medium flame till almost all water evaporates.

Ingredients

  • Pani (Water) – 4 litres
  • Namak (Salt) – 2 tsp
  • Lasagna sheets – 10
  • Oil – 2-4 tbs

Method

Step 1: Add Pani (Water) and Namak (Salt) to a pan and let it boil. Add Lasagna sheets and boil till they are 80% done. Drain and rinse through tap water. Add 2-4 tbs of Oil and mix well.

Ingredients [White Sauce]

  • Makhan (Butter) – 2 tbs [heaped]
  • Oil – 1 tbs
  • Maida (All purpose flour) – 2 tbs
  • Doodh (Milk) – 2 cups
  • Namak (Salt) – ½ tsp
  • Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder) – 1 tsp
  • Oregano – 1 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese – ½ cup

Method

Step 1: Add Makhan (Butter), Oil and Maida (All purpose flour) in a pan and cook at medium to low flame till Maida starts changing its colour [light brown].

Step 2: Add Doodh (Milk) and give it a good mix. Add Pissi kali mirchain (Black pepper powder), Namak (Salt) and Oregano and cook till it starts to become thick. Add Cheese and cook till cheese melts.

You can add ¼ cup of additional milk if the sauce becomes thick.

Ingredients [Layering]

  • Cooked Chicken
  • White sauce
  • Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese – 1½ cup
  • Lasagna sheets
  • Oregano
  • Kuti laal mirchen (Crushed red pepper)

Method

Step 1: Spread 4 tbs of White sauce in a serving dish [oven-proof]. Cut sheets according to dish size and make a layer of it in the dish. Add cooked Chicken, White sauce, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese and repeat the steps to make as many layers as you like.

Step 2: Cover it with Lasagna sheets and Cheese. Sprinkle Oregano and Kuti laal mirchen (Crushed red pepper).

Oven: Preheat oven at 180°C for 5 minutes. Bake for 20-22 minutes at 180°C.

Microwave: Heat the microwave by turning it on for 3 minutes. Bake for 5 minutes or till the cheese melts.
