Rohu Fish Fry


  • Rohu Fish: 1 kg
  • Lehsan (Garlic) paste: 1 tsp
  • Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder): 2½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt): 1¾ tsp (to taste)
  • Haldi (Turmeric powder): ½ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin) powder: ½ tsp
  • Garm masala (Whole spices) powder: ½ tsp
  • Dhaniya (Coriander) powder: ½ tsp
  • Ajwain (Carom seeds): 2 pinches
  • Lemun (Lemon): 1
  • Oil: 3 tbs
  • Pani (Water): 1½ tsp
  • Cornflour: 3 tbs
  • Baisan (Gram flour): 2 tbs


Step 1: Add Lehsan (Garlic) paste, Pissi laal mirchen (Red chilli powder), Namak (Salt), Haldi (Turmeric powder), Dhaniya (Coriander) powder, Zeera (Cumin) powder, Garm masala (Whole spices) powder, Lemun (Lemon), Ajwain (Carom seeds), Oil, and Pani in a bowl and give it a good mix.

Step 2: Add Fish to the prepared paste and rub properly with your hands. Add Baisan (Gram flour), Cornflour and mix well. Leave for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3: Fry at medium-high flame for 2-3 minutes on both sides.

Serve Hot with Green Chatni.
